What makes Return Ministries distinctive?

Some churches struggle for generations with broken relationships and unresolved conflict. Deeply ingrained patterns of destructive behavior perpetuate themselves and hurtful relationships dominate the church's life.

Often desperation and despair cause a congregation to seek a way to resolve conflict through such techniques as mediation and conflict resolution training.  Relief is typically short-lived when addressed in this way.  Why?

Because many conflict resolution alternatives are focused on a specific incident and not the underlying heart attitudes that are at the root of the problem. Mediation, for example, seeks to provide a compromise that conflicting parties can live with. Yet the underlying attitudes and perspectives that allowed anger and unresolved conflict to fester still exist. Consequently most congregations find themselves dealing with conflict again. The situation may be different but heart attitudes that drive bad behavior remain the same.

Return Ministries believes that the family system of the congregation needs to be transformed. This transformation is centered on our most primary relationship—the relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. At the heart of our ministry is the cry to return to Christ. We believe that reclaiming one’s identity in Christ is the key that brings lasting peace and true transformation in a church’s life.
